Code No. 302.5
ADMINISTRATIVE PERSONNEL - CONSULTING/OUTSIDE EMPLOYMENT
Administrative positions are considered full-time employment during the months of contracted service. The Board of Directors expects each administrative personnel member to give the responsibilities of the position precedence over other employment or business ventures during such time. An administrative personnel member may accept consulting or outside employment for pay or enter into business ventures if the member first informs the Board of Directors, and as long as, in the judgment of the Board, the work is conducted on personal time and does not interfere with the performance of District duties. The Board reserves the right, however, to require that an administrative personnel member cease the outside employment or business venture as a condition of continued employment. The Board shall give at least thirty (30) days notice to cease an outside employment or business venture.
Administrative personnel members, with the approval of the Board, may undertake consultative work, speaking engagements, writing, lecturing, or other professional duties and obligations which require them to be absent from the District.
